Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a Will if I already have one from my home country?

Your home country Will may not automatically apply. Local courts often follow Sharia law for inheritance unless you’ve registered a local Will that says otherwise.

You can usually consolidate UK pensions into a UK scheme you can manage from overseas. Tax treatment depends on your residency and future plans.

Many expats choose to pay voluntary contributions to keep/build qualifying years. Check eligibility and your NI record first.

We agree our fees with you before we do anything. There is typically an initial fee for any work undertaken and an ongoing fee for making sure your financial plan continues to work for you as life changes. It means your finances are always reviewed, updated, and protected.

Look at split year treatment (when UK tax starts on return) and Temporary Non-Residence rules (some gains/income realised while away can be taxed if you return within a set period, often 5 tax years). Plan your transactions before moving back.
